Former Premiere of the Province of Newfouldland, the Right Honourable Alfred Brian Peckford, is suing the government of Canada for violations of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Mr. Peckford is the last living member of the team that drafted the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that was passed into law in 1982.
