The slogan from the beginning of the pandemic has been that we’re all in this together, but a review of pay raises by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation shows otherwise.
The report also details the substantial growth in the number of federal public servants and the substantial raises that senators and Members of Parliament gave to themselves once again.
“We’re not all in this together,” said Franco Terrazzano, federal director with the CTF. “We’ve seen a tale of two pandemics: one full of private sector pain and the other full of financial gain for bureaucrats and politicians.”
