Loading ...CANADA – Hundreds Of WestJet Workers Have Just Been Placed On Unpaid Leave Because Of Their Vax Status
This is really sad as Westjet used to be a great airline — now it will likely be shunned by any traveller that supports freedom & democracy for their children and grandchildren!
Their marketing slogan was that the airline was owned by it’s employees — well now they have fired these owners. Is it even legal to lay people off and not pay them? Or fire them without severance based on years service? Seems to me these corporations are hiding behind the politicians to cut their workforce without due compensation. Where are the unions and why are they not fighting for their members??
Nobody is flying much anymore so it saves them the payouts, I believe it was bought out a few yrs back by an American Co.. I remember flying with them when they started and if you asked nice you could sit in the cockpit while they landed. I am sure stats canada will alter the next #’s as great and classify the dissidents as unemployable.
This whole shebang is laughable…if only so many people had not died to secure the freedoms being willingly surrendered.
