Overall, it can be argued that 25 Conservative seats were lost due to the failure of Erin O’Toole’s party to speak to the desires of PPC voters, namely that Canada has no place for vaccine passports and indefinite lockdowns. In addition, who knows how many centrist voters stayed with the Liberals simply because O’Toole offered nothing that was substantially different than his opponent.
Perhaps the Conservative Party of Canada will take note of what took place and might even attempt being … conservative for the next election.

Interesting. I didn’t think it was that many. I voted PPC but didn’t want that to be a vote for Trudeau, so it was a bit of a gamble but the Toronto Star had my riding listed as a safe CPC seat and the signs seemed to indicate that as well. I won the bet. Anyway the fun starts now. Civil servants and people in the travel industries look to be first up.
IMO – O’Toole lost the election the moment he said that mandatory vaccines and passports were acceptable. IMO these do NOT represent conservative values. It also confirmed a genuine lack of understanding of the SCIENCE behind the Covid scam which is unacceptable from any national leader.
Trudy already knows the science doesn’t match the fear mongering but the agenda of the globalists is to implement the agenda of the DAVOS consortium that will effectively destroy Canadian sovereignty in support of the one-world agenda — however — this isn’t the same as not understanding what’s going on and thus is very different from how O’Toole portrayed the Conservative Party.
Lets hope the Conservative Party opens their eyes/ears to the destruction of Canada (and our allies which is underway concurrently) and join together with the PPC to present a united front and save Canada. Assuming that sovereignty has not already been stripped away from the citizenry by then.
Absolutely right about O’Toole losing as soon as he signed on to the vaccine mandate. Agree totally. He is almost as stupid as Trudeau. The only smart politician right now is Maxime Bernier. I do not regret voting for him! Learn your lesson, O’Toole. If you are conservative then perform as one. Period.
This should teach waffling O’Toole to present his party as a true opposition or get votes taken away by smaller party that is a true opposition. I blame it not on the PPC but on O’Toole’s lame leadership. He was a faint echo of Trudeau. Who wants that? I hope the Toole has learned his lesson.
Sigh. Yeah, I was afraid of a split vote. Agree also though that O’Toole was a poor choice of leader for the Conservatives and that he should step down. He waffled too many times on the vaccine mandate, no one really knew where he stood. That said, I am incredulous that people actually voted for the arrogant little shithead instead.
I wish the damn constitutional lawyers would hurry up and do something about the despots running our provinces and our country.
