What if, as a reaction to mass sickness and death, lock downs destroy the mining industry, most of which are in countries that have no problem with shutting everything down. Even if gold skyrockets, miners will be destroyed. They will not be good investments.
But if you reduce supply, price goes up. Physical gold and silver, ie CEF and PSLV.
And if you reduce income because jobs are lost due to lockdowns and fear, gone is the demand from lost income and wealth.
