it strikes me that, seriously, things are finally nucken futz.
Simply beyond comprehension.
I know more is coming, faster and bigger than this pea-brain can imagine. But sheesh, what a mess.
Went to three banks today (no, I was not trying to rob them, unfortunately.) Every one had a sign on the door, “Masks required to enter the bank.” A credit union, Wells Fargo, and PNC Bank – the latter no slouch in the banking game.
Did I wear a mask? Need you ask. I was itching for a confrontation.
None to be had. Every bank employee wore masks, of course. 90% of customers were essentially giving the finger to the stupid banks. Would they risk loss of accounts, profits, future business?
I think not.
All bank employees were super helpful, courteous, and syrupy sweet.
Never a “boo” about my lack of a mask.
Went to Rooms to Go, Bealls (Florida chain), Target and Costco. RTG masked up, no customers with masks.
Target – mixed employee mask wearing. 90% of customers maskless.
Costco – the ultimate “wear one or else” place, apparently had a come-to-Jesus conversion because only one-in-ten employees with masks, and less than that for customers.
This in the state labeled as the epicenter of the new Covid surge.
Bwahahahahaa. Screw them all.
Not sure what comes next, or how. But Desantis holding firm, and I am buying more hollow point ammo tomorrow.

Ontario still requires masks anywhere indoors even though there are virtually no cases or deaths
And EVERYONE goes along with it…half even wear them outside
That is indicative of what is to come. States like FL. TX and other red governors aren’t going back to masks despite what the CDC or any Fed govt. dictate says. Blue state governors are going to reimpose mask mandates but if they don’t get the legal authority from their legislatures (some will, some won’t) the businesses and public will be split on following and it will only work if they make it the law, again.
And the most likely outcome: true civil war. Not a fake one like the War of Northern Invasion…
The next elections can’t come soon enough.
But you also see tons of really venal commentary from those on the other side.

See “civil war” comment above. Yup, the “other side” is far more vicious and ruthless than we ever dreamed of being. True nut jobs, pretty well across the board, with people that are supposedly in charge – not just in charge of everything, also in charge of our lives.
