Doug Casey on Deagel’s 2025 (-70% population drop for West)
“Here’s a wild and crazy thought. What if the real problem isn’t so much the COVID virus itself. What if the real problem is the new vaccines. What if, after X number of months or years, they turn out to have very deadly effects? “
Do you take Doug Casey seriously? I thought he was a bit of a shyster, but I’ve seen him quoted on Goldtent a few times, so maybe I’m wrong about him. Everyone in the trading business seems to have online enemies and slanderers and I think it’s because there’s competition for subscription services so maybe I read some stuff by one of his enemies trying to smear him. I’d be interested to know what you think of him.
I found this article by GreatGameIndia – Journal of Geopolitics and International Relations had different insight on the Deagle report.

Interesting article. Reading an Indian perspective on these global issues is refreshing. Particularly, “Nevertheless, the widespread censorship, hate laws and contradictory signals mean that even that glue is not working any more. Not everybody has to die. Migration can also play a positive role in this.”
I think of leaving Canada every day now. There is less and less for anyone here as the months go by.
And this quote from the Deagle article from 2014: “When the transition from rural areas to large cities happened in Europe many people unable to accept the new paradigm killed themselves.”
Suicide, especially with the new legislation in Canada allowing anyone who’s just depressed to seek execution as a “medical” treatment, could easily kill off more people than any disease and much faster too. With diseases you have to wait for people to die, but not with euthanasia.
Absolutely, I take Doug VERY seriously, when it comes to gauging the world.
I find his socioeconomic readings to be among the most coherent of anyone out there.
But then, I’m a libertarian and Doug is a very compelling voice in that realm.
Far more eloquent than Martin Armstrong, who covers similar ground but dwells more on history and fails entirely in terms of proper editing.
I doubt he (Doug) and Ron Paul disagree on all that much, except Doug is generally more pessimistic and realistic. He can afford to be.
As for his calls on miners, I don’t take anyone’s word all that seriously when it comes to trading and picks. Most of them acknowledge relying on fundamentals and I don’t (in the timeframes that I use for trading.)
I read his novel The Speculator (recommended), and he captured the essence of Ayn Rand in far fewer pages with more zip.
Bottom line … I take Doug more seriously than most anyone else out there.
Thanks. After what I heard him say in the Zerohedge article I started thinking I had him classed all wrong because his comments were very sensible and had a sound argument behind them. Like you’re saying, he’s coherent in a area where most commentators are overly complicated and just plain hard to understand.
The scariest thing about what he said was that the Deagle folks were calling for a huge die-off –before– covid happened. And his conclusion that it must be the “vaccine” is exactly the same conclusion as mine. Of course, I’m often wrong about stuff!
