No Federal Taxes for Dozens of Big, Profitable US Companies
‘Twenty-six companies, including FedEx, Duke Energy and Nike, were able to avoid paying any federal income tax for the last three years even though they reported a combined income of $77 billion.

Not sure what the implications are, but I would guess that it is these companies are getting away with something.
Au contraire – they are simply following the rules created by the very people who tax them. In the case of utilities, it is a matter of subsidy largesse for “green energy investments.” Yet another big government boondoggle that is killing us all.
Further, taxes on companies/corporations are a head fake. Companies don’t pay taxes – the only tax payers are you and me. When a company pays taxes they simply pass along that additional cost of doing business to the purchasers of their goods and services: their customers, you and me.
This most basic economic truth seems to not exist in the minds of politicians, business writers, economists, college “professors”, teachers, parents, individuals.
The dumbing down of America yet again writ large. Always looking for the “bad guy” instead of seeking the truth. Lay blame, don’t accept responsibility. C’mon, man!!
