   I cannot know what is going on behind the scenes and always be mistaken. There is much that I do not understand. Maybe I will be proven wrong in many things just in the next day or two.

   From what I see however, I believe many people have put far too much faith in this Trump (whom frankly I can’t stand). Many projected their best attributes on to him. Many people who did not like him hoped that at least he would weaken some of the worst aspects of the established system with erratic behavior. Perhaps he did to some extent, exposing its nature at least somewhat (whether consciously or not) for the entire world to see. It is tough for many trying to justify him by noting, for example, that he in fact did not start new wars (as HRC almost certainly would have) and did seem genuinely to try to initiate some sensible policies. On the other hand (I could list many negatives, such as the nonsense with Saudi Arabia, the continuation of wars elsewhere, and more.) He forced people into odd positions such as having to support him, or at least look the other way, after revelations his apparent interchange with that Daniels soon after his wife had given birth; and support his apparently true claims on election fraud, when many who supported his claims did not necessarily like him, and when he did not even seem to be competent in supporting himself. You might almost have thought he had been paid off not to fight too much or with effectiveness. His own comportment has always been such that it’s been hard to argue against those who have described him as playing kayfabe all along, though I doubt it. I think entrenched interests impossible to counter easily, and betrayal after betrayal, versus lack of something like committed persistence, lack of insight, and lifelong habit of assuming he can get things handed to him automatically because he was not just a disrupter but a rich and charming disrupter, rich charming spoiled brat. And something like more personal commitment to morality might have helped in the long run. My opinion.

   Sad.

   Wouldn’t it be nice if something happens to bring out the best in people starting now. Pleasantness, good discourse, seeing the other side of things, disdaining vindictiveness, generosity.

     Hard to be nice and pleasant when your side names us as ‘terrorists’ deplorable, racist, rich… Thanks to Biden for cancelling the Keystone and now heavy crude gets imported from the Saudis. Back to kissing the feet of the middle east.

       And by the way, not my side. I can’t tell you how often I’ve been deplored as racist, rich, not just conservative but far right, extremist etc for being independent. Except among conservatives or right-wingers that’s how I’m usually pegged, actually.

       Ultimately it’s self-defeating to pigeon-hole people, including one’s self by sticking to a brand — or some star or hero or president. It’s idolatry, actually, or a variant. It’s best to think for one’s self, just being as correct as possible, using what one is given.

       At the end, BTW, I was trying to invoke hope for divine intervention in a nondenominational way etc.

         Probably just being self-indulgent, but many times in the true left circles I get it both ways, something like, “You just talk ultra-left as a cover that you’re right-wing.” Also, for the record, maybe my mind fails me, but I doubt I’ve ever registered as D. I have registered as R to help Ron Paul for prez.

         (And, finally, many far left people as well as true liberals voted for Trump, even if they did not like him personally or his policies — some as lesser evil votes, some because they saw HRC then Biden as farther to the “right” than Trump, others as something like a Giant Meteor vote, etc. These people don’t necessarily want to be your enemies, and don’t necessarily assume them to be such as per your divide-and-rulers.)
