Every time we get a bad jobs report the Empire does a hit on gold. Every time. I buy stuff when it’s on sale. The miners are making real money and some are selling for single digit price earnings ratios. What is not to like here? It is a gimme.
What are they going to do? Ban gold? That would work like prohibition. It would make the price skyrocket up. Are they going to tell the world no one can trade hold gold. They would laugh at us.
Would become an expat in some far away place that has internet.
What about some time and place without computers and perhaps without telephones? A dimension where civil discourse prevailed as well. Books.
If such a move was tried the gold would blast like water out of a firehose out of the US into the hands of very eager buyers impoverishing the US.
