Collum’s Year in Review ….
If the first 5 minutes of part 1 don’t grab you, NOTHING WILL.
Authored by David B. Collum,
Betty R. Miller Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology – Cornell University
(Email: dbc6@cornell.edu, Twitter: @DavidBCollum),
“David Collum is willfully ignorant.”
~ Mountain Man (@Pjas77)
He breaks these into chapters, so its a week-long or month-long read best taken in smaller bites
Quite witty throughout, usually.
A link to the PDF version is posted infra. Suggest you DL and keep for posterity.

This guy is incredible.
How come I never hear of him.
Love This One…because I sometimes wonder if the Bad Guys are just mostly Morons 🙂
“Hanlon’s razor says that you should never assume malice where incompetence will suffice”
However
“Collum’s razor says never be so narrow-minded that you refuse to believe men and women of wealth and power conspire. Those who do are probably happy not to swat those flies. Years ago I served on a PhD committee of Jim Rankin, a successful businessman from Dallas, who wrote a pretty damned interesting thesis on conspiracy theories.ref 1 There is scholarly work out there
I say this every year: Stop declaring, “I am not a conspiracy theorist but…” and grow a pair. Embrace the label that horrifies you. Admit that the world is filled with sociopaths trying to screw us with complex plans. Use your fookin’ head and your gonads to stand up to the scoundrels.”
Funny how the best out of the box thinkers in terms of economics, aren’t trained economists.
Ron Paul, with his focus on Austrian and debt dynamics, as a gynecologist first and politician next.
And Dave, who was the chairman of the Cornell chemistry department and is still there publishing like crazy and still putting out works like this every year.
Dave used to grace one of those other forums I participate in. He still does but rarely. He’s become a ‘star.’
When I first joined Twitter years ago, my first two follows were ZH and Dave. Quite a few tweets from him with his dogs lying beneath him at his office around midnight.
