In any case I just saw it in a segment in Skye News from Australia, linked to in the comments section in the latest piece at off-guardian.org. Interesting that the Australian Skye News emphasized corporate involvement the UK and Australia not elsewhere, though it did quote Ratcliffe in the WSJ about China as a worldwide threat in general. The Skye News segment’s not mentioning corporate involvement of Canada or the US actually tended to emphasize these countries in my mind and I would guess maybe even in Australian minds. ….. Where was the US voting system located? Canada, no?

I am hoping that the right thing gets done with the election. What I am also hoping is that nice reasonable people from China who are working in the US – I certainly know some – aren’t picked on or shunned improperly.
For those who read the pastebin piece – probably entirely coincidental but amusing is that —
Scott Atlas (former presidential advisor on COVID-19) made his name early on to a significant degree with his unusually sophisticated explanation of the “blood brain barrier” in one or more review articles and a major textbook he authored quite early in his career, although he did not of course cover everything about it.
I would imagine that the topic was discussed with him, if only to dismiss as fanciful hogwash.

Previously it was simply that Biden won. Now someone was allowed briefly to mention a different opinion for literally a few seconds albeit as if being presented as if a six headed dinosaur throwback. The announcer even backed off ever so slightly from calling Biden “president-elect”, I think, once. Otherwise the usual though.*
=> Like anyone else I don’t want to deprive people of the fun of figuring out my identity if they really want (I’m no one of great significance) – I’ll leave my identity to the authorities and FGC etc. Therefore I’ll be a bit coy here, but there’s a group of people from my background who were crowing about Biden’s election at very first. Boy, were they ever triumphant, and were they ever rubbing it in to the rest of the world! These would not be highly placed persons but of the Professional Class and very much tuned in. Cadre as the Maoists would say. Ever since a day or two after the election they have been remarkably quiet. I do not think it is that they have been trying to be polite or gracious. I have the impression that at a minimum their intuition tells them something is up and that they need to lie low for the time being. Or else, possibly. I don’t know.
(* Several weeks ago a frequent ZH commenter, Let Them Eat Rand, I think it was, made the comment that in the US a reasonable person has now gone to looking at the standard “news”, much like people in the old leninist-stalinist bloc countries, in order to study the propaganda itself, to see what one is supposed to be thinking.)

It will be interesting to see how aggressively the police monitor citizen homes/apartments etc. on Christmas and New Years for signs of visitors. Will they use the opportunity to levy the excessive fines put in place for behaviour modification?
