“translating this into common English, the US Constitution grants state legislators the exclusive right to prescribe the time, place, and manner of holding elections, and to direct the appointment of the electors.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court didn’t just say “Act 77 is unconstitutional.” It re-wrote Act 77 itself, by judicial fiat, creating new rules for time, place, and manner, of holding elections. In doing so, the State Supreme Court violated the US Federal Constitution.
And that’s the real case here.”
Ha….who knew
State Legislature has this power.
If it ever needs to be used the time is NOW
And it so happens that State legislature is controlled in BOTH Houses by Republicans
hmmm
Well, the can’t change the law retroactively I don’t think.
And there’s no need.
(Take in and accept ballots after 8pm on election day, and the permission we gave to allow mail ins is null and void)
The point is the PA SC isn’t allowed to change it at all, and they did.
