In Ontario 4 regions were recently plunged back into “Stage 2”
This meant Gyms and restaurants were closed again in these regions.
Our family has a restaurant on the right side of the dividing line ( Hwy 9)
A restaurant in Peel Cty not 4 minutes away was closed down with this edict…while we , thankfully were not.
Well Now for the first time I see rage from the Populous for these ongoing arbitrary edicts from unelected Morons called Public health “officials” and here is why.
Can anyone look at this slide from Dr. Williams, Dr. Huyer and Dr. Brown and tell me how they used this data to shut down restaurants or gyms in Ottawa, Peel or York?
If you ask me, they lied to Premier Ford
but his office would never say that.

Personally, I don’t even understand what that chart is supposed to be saying. It’s depicting “variance” which ought to mean change in the amounts or growth in the amounts. So venues that have high numbers but consistently high numbers would score zero change and not appear as a slice in that pie chart.
This is the great thing about releasing actual data: it forces people to think and debate. It virtually provokes such a response and mental awakening. Something which has been totally absent from this whole public policy disaster. I’m surprise MSM sites are following it and reporting on it with such honesty. I think something is changing in the public sphere.

I first heard this story on a Sports talk channel discussing how pathetic it is to close gyms one of the only healthy outlets for folks during these moronic threats and actions .
I was surprised because unanimously the sports guys are supportive of all the Public health edicts
Recently I tuned in and heard that the top Junior Hockey League OHL ( where all the future pros are culled ) was told IF they would be allowed to play it would be with NO body contact !!!
No Body contact in a high level hockey league ? how effing stupid is that.
They are playing football and basketball and pro hockey with nor public health restictions on the games
These are kids ..who are not in the least impacted by covid.
The commentators only question was …is it worth playing under these rules ( non contact hockey ?)
What if some kid accidently hit another with a body check >? Quarantine them both ?
However I was shocked to hear the guy say..Well I am NOT questioning the wisdom of the health authorities…they know best…wtf man ..use you head !
So it’s better to just shut down junior hockey ?

So yes this is a long over due wake up call that these petty tyrants need to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE for their inane rules
