Happy Halloween! Just a few days to the election.
An honest journalist just can’t win, when Hearst LLC first started posting the offset links we were accused by a progressive, Chemeee, of being viscous. Completely baseless, but impressionable. Now a few days ago we said that liberals for the most part are good people, whooaaa, the attacks came by the folks that are here. So now let me re-phrase what was said and implied about liberals.
Again I have many family and friends that consider themselves to be progressive. Wonderful people, but keep them as friends, politics is business.
So studies show that 20% of folks in all societies have this liberal mid set. I’m not sure how or even the evolution of these types, but somehow they have played an important role in society.
The studies also show that 60% of folks are good law abiding, intellectually honest folks that in general want society to grow and prosper, and generally want good for all.
I can’t remember what the the last category that contains 20%. They are not really undecided, Let’s just say that they move through life care free. You know what I am talking about.
No one in the 60% category would ever dream of allowing someone in the 20% category to achieve a position of power, even dog catcher could be a problem, because when they get what they crave for, a position of power, they rule with an iron fist. They will also change any rules in order to keep themselves in power. Case in point is Franklin Roosevelt(FDR). He came to power in 1932 and the country was miserable for 4 elected terms. They say that WW2 got the USA out of the depression, but the real reason that we came out is because he died while in office. His last acts were to make treaties with Stalin that allowed him to come to greater power while rejecting Winston Churchill at YALTA. He was such a power hungry tyrant and did so much damage that for political purposes the legislature, states, and supreme court passed an amendment limiting the presidential terms to 2. Thanks goodness, for without this I have no doubt that the Clinton crime family would still be power. They make the Bidens look like the amateur hour.
So now we come to the most important election, 2016 was big, but this is bigger.
Moral of the story, I want to keep my friends, liberal or not, they are good people and they are cherished to me. I will go fish, golf, enjoy weekend barbecues, and everything else with them thank you.

Hearst, Thank you for the rant. Mostly, because you correctly pointed out what most people either, don’t know, and or won’t acknowledge, how BAD a President FDR was and how he used wartime to subvert the Constitution. As someone said here about there being “no Covid exception to the Constitution” there should be NO exceptions to the Constitution. That is why we have Amendments to the Constitution and a process for doing so.
