THE GREATEST MEDIA COVERUP IN HISTORY
If Americans elect Democrats next month, they will have turned their government over to a criminal gang and will have empowered the most corrupt media—a.k.a. Ministry of Propaganda—in the history of the world. The United States will never recover from such a devastating mistake. Paul Craig Roberts

“The flow of information in the United States has become so politicized – bottlenecked by an increasingly brazen union of corporate press and tech platforms – that it’s become impossible for American audiences to see news about certain topics absent thickets of propagandistic contextualizing.”
From the Paul Craig Roberts article: “Somehow NPR’s member supporters are too dense to comprehend that if NPR will attempt to pass off a commercial advertiser as a charitable donor, NPR cannot be trusted to objectively convey news.”
Surprisingly, it never occurred to me before but trust is the most important attribute of a news source. If you can’t trust what they’re reporting then it doesn’t matter if they’re telling the truth or not, you can’t be sure. We go to the news to dispel rumours and confirm facts but if you can’t trust what they say they’re no better than rumours. I stopped using GoogleNews a few years ago not because I knew it was a distorted presentation of the media but because I was no longer sure. Same as all the mainstream media: some of what they say might be true but there’s no way of knowing anymore. I’m surprised there’s anyone in the US that trusts mainstream media after all the garbage they printed during Trump’s first presidential campaign. Weren’t those polls that were all proved colossally bogus after the election results were in, enough to convince readers that you can’t trust a source that won’t even reports simple polling data honestly?
