I know where you’re coming from, Fully, but once you go down that path things only get stranger. If you need survival food, then you’ll need a gun to keep it. Soon enough, one gun won’t be sufficient, so you will have to team up with other like minded people. Then you have to start thinking about getting out of town to a place with land for growing and secure water. These moves make sense in toto, but not individually. If you’re not ready to commit to these fundamental changes, it’s probably best to forget about it. I’m not even sure I want to live in that kind of world, but I think there is a reasonably good chance that, at some point, those who do commit will be saying “I told ya so”. It hurts to think that we are so damn stupid that we are on the cusp of blowing everything!
Just as an aside, it is this kind of realization that makes the climatistas seem so silly. Even if they had some kind of strong evidence, our contemporary man made problems are much more urgent – and solvable – so that debating about windmills and gigantic batteries is, quite franky, insane. And, therein lies the problem. We are unwilling to tackle existential problems which have simple, although not easy, solutions. Instead, we pretend we are so powerful that we can alter climate at our whim. If we’re not careful, mother nature will blow us away without an afterthought; and it won’t be because of warming. It will be because of stupidity.
