What may tend to end the conversation at the very beginning is the image itself, which may turn people off. It is as though designed to help the divide-and-rule political branding of the whole thing.
It is true that a reasonable person of any persuasion considers a hard left-right division to be more or less sub-moronic branding at this point. Seeing a supposedly medical report tied to this political branding might cause a reasonable person to ignore the thing to begin with, whether they consider themselves vaguely “left”, “right” or “left”.
Also, people who might be susceptible to change in opinionk who might think of themselves as “left” or even “moderate”, who, would if perfect people consider everything dispassionately, if the label “Fox News” doesn’t get them (and it should not”) will react negatively at the outset to the impression that the dreaded “Fox News” is putting down their brand and dig in their emotional trenches by turning off. It is not a smart thing to put on the screen even though largely true, to the extent there is something like “left”, unless one wants to reinforce one’s Fox News branding and reinforce divide-and-rule.
If one wants to win stupid debating points in a stupid, submoronic playground game, fine. If one wants to get people to listen about a discussion, one tries not to tie to the discussion the political brand names too too much. If one wants somewhere in the discussion one can mention that, oh, liberals and leftists often don’t go with this stuff, though some are great hydroxychloroquine fans (e.g. off-guardian.org).
But then again, if one wants one’s political Pepsi vs Coke team, fine. Send this to most people who aren’t converted or who don’t like Fox and they won’t look. Remove the word “Left” and they will look.
Not something that will end the conversation at least in the way you want. It may end it because they change the subject.

The problem is zerohedge, which some people may react against, what with the various people or entities commenting, who or which might just as well have been installed to disrupt discussion or discredit the site. If there is a better source for this piece, it might be better.
It is true that one should in theory be able to cite something from anything, but it doesn’t work that way. I for example have a hard time even looking at the Washington Post, CNN, or the NY Times, which many of you see as liberal or left wing, but I like others more or less instinctively see as far right or neofascist perhaps in neoliberal clothing. If I were a better person I would be able to look at CNN easily, for example.
So if there is a source for this doctors-open-letter thing that doesn’t come with too much political brand garbage or packaging, that would be better. It is a great piece though. Maybe it was posted here already and I missed it. I was doing things.
