I am a numismatist and have been since I was 12. Our nations gold is coin gold. US gold coins produced before the American Buffalo series were 90% percent gold, seven percent silver and three percent zinc as a hardener. Trust me if you put a 100% gold coin into circulation, real use in transactions like yesteryear the coin does not hold up and gets a lot of rub. Hence the hardener. Our bars at Ft. Knox and at the Federal Reserve in NY are coin gold. Same for West Point. The only gold the US has that is 100% gold is at the US Mint. The coins start as blanks cut out of a sheet of gold which is purchased by the US Mint from
suppliers here in the US and Canada. The point is that if coin gold bars(90%) showed up at any refinery and this is a very small club here, everyone would know where they came from. The US Army controls the gold
and they would never allow it to leave. The concept of honor and tradition within the ranks is such that any order from any administration to release the gold is absurd. If anything the US is probably sand bagging and has much more than we let on.

They follow chain of command. The General that gives the order to move gold doesn’t get questioned by junior officers. The rank and file don’t challenge the junior officers. They say Yes Sir and do what their told.That’s the tradition. Do you think if the order comes to release nuclear weapons they are going to challenge it? The gold was removed decades ago which is why no trucks or anything else displays any activity.
No trucks, vehicles enter or leave the facilities loading dock in the rear of the building. Ever.

August 2017 (6 months after trump took office) Mnuchin and McConnell visit ft knox – first civilians in 40 yrs for an extensive visit. Trump likely wanted to know if it was really there or not while everyone in the country was staring at the sun. There is a reason why Andrew Jackson is his favorite President.
