Home Schooling
I copied this link from the MAKA site

IF I had kids I would seriously consider home schooling.
Has anyone ever had an experience or knowledge of a group of parents getting together …say a group of 12 families and hiring a teacher to teach their kids for say 3 -4 hours a day 5 days a week.
Pay a really good salary to a really good teacher and the parents can help develop the cirriculum
Say $100,000 a year…Hire the best of the best away from the pathetic public School Systems run by Marxists
Most would be happy to pay like $8,000 a year or $1000 a month even for the best teacher and YOUR input into what the child is learning
hell I would even attend and see what i can learn.
You could rent a space or rotate through different homes perhaps.
This would be a throwback to the One Room Schoolhouse. I used to own an old One Room Schoolhouse which we renovated and ran as a BNB. Charming concept. I have the history book of this particular School. fascinating.
It was in use from 1903 until 1967 . I know a guy who was a student there.
Just thinking out loud.
Please comment on you experience with this homeschooling .
I went to a one room school for grades 1-3. By 3rd grade I was using a 9th grade spelling book. The teacher taught us individually – based on our ability.
We pulled our kids out of school for a few years and when we put them back in they were way ahead of the class. Should have kept them out.
Haven’t heard of that exact type of homeschool, but sounds like a great idea.
Sir Fully, my daughter a stay at home mom is a teacher with a degree in TESOL (teaching English as second language) and has been teaching foreign students online for a couple of years. For a few years she taught in a small Christian school till she started the family. Recently a few friends from church asked her to consider teaching their kids (they call them a pod). The thinking is She would do a few hours 3-4 days and the parents will continue what they had been teaching leaving her the more challenging subjects. She is researching and working on how to organize the logistics. I think most of it would be out of her home but it could rotate to other parents at times. I have heard of others considering this all across U.S. as well.
Wow: Thanks fan
Excellent
I think this is the way forward if you value your children’s futures.
Thanks again and keep us posted if you hear more about this
