Please Suggest a Silver Stock to Hold
Has anyone done a tremendous amount of study into silver miners who could recommend the one silver stock to buy when this correction ends? There are so many, so many I’ve already bought, that I just want one outside my limited research that someone with knowledge of this sector, sees as an undervalued standout producer. Please.
HOLD EM all
SILJ
If only one for this sector than I second this SILJ.
MAG silver will be cash flow positive this year after many years to develop the largest silver deposit discovery of this century. It is a silver play gaining most of the cash flow from silver. It is my largest holdings and I still have some shares that were purchased in 2004.
And as I commented the other day when someone asked a similiar quetion I said instead of buying a stock like HL(which was the one asked about) that has lots of resistance at numerous price points, buy MAG. When it reached 18 recently it visited it’s ATH. After any correction it will be breaking that and will have no resistance, everybody who owns it will be profitable, including you.
Chartsmaster have you looked into Reyna silver? MAG junior?
Only that I read Mag owns some of them because they sold some of their other properties to them for equity in Reyna. I will just hold MAG and anything that Reyna does will be a little extra for MAG as well.
Having accidentally visiting this site take advantage of value this place presents to investors. You are lucky to be in time like this. PM bottom after 40years and will be roaring sector going forward.

Good Luck IMO
Almost all the silver stocks have done and will do well. You don’t say what you are looking for? You want high leverage, choose a junior that is just turning profitable, or is just boosting production. You want steady-as-she goes, pick a major producer. You want a blend of silver and gold for the best of both worlds? Hard to find pure silver plays any more. PAAS and SSRM are now major gold producers. BTW, there are NO undervalued producers. None.
Americas Gold & Silver Corp, Arizona Silver, First Majestic, Hecla, MAG Silver
THANK YOU ALL!!! I think I’ll go for MAG.
I’ll answer a different question. I’ve spent all too much time on this topic and still feel like a dunce. I hold a bit of MAG and AXU and some others. Silver is way too tricky for me. I’ll concentrate more on gold because I think good gold stocks may tend to do well in both bad contractions as well as in fiat-superfuelled manias, but silver stocks maybe yes but very much maybe no. So I have been focusing on Au stocks much as I would prefer to focus on silver personally.
WPM is nice in that they make decisions for me and have silver sensitivity. AXU I think may be wonderful although I have the impression they become relatively less wonderful when the silver prices increase to a certain point where more of WPM’s royalty or stream kicks in, but I may be wrong. From my nervous interpretations of US Treasury rules about what they consider passive foreign assets I can probably hold these safely in regular (non-IRA) accounts assuming that AXU starts producing soon. (MAG I haven’t studied as much.)
PSLV and CEF (latter partly silver) I think are just great though the IRS may look sideways at them as passive foreign assets and then stare nastily at you unless they are in retirement accts if my totally inexpert impression is correct. You or your heirs if you are a “U.S. person” might encounter unpleasant surprises. But don’t rely on me.
(I have some others in retirement accts but I wouldn’t dare recommend them.)
Thanks Karl!
If you want something cheap and highly leveraged look at ISVLF. Down 30% from the recent high at .70 per share.
I already own that one. Good stock. Sold half when it doubled.
When asking such a question one really needs to specify what your goals and objectives are. Otherwise it’s impossible to answer your question
It’s like just asking what kind of car I should buy?
You are right, of course, but my goal was to get an idea of what was the first silver stock that popped in your head when you thought about a winner. I asked for one that was undervalued and a standout producer. While that encompasses many, most here have a special place in their hearts for a select few. If one of those matched a hunch, or gut feeling that I have with my limited knowledge and research, then I’ve got what I wanted. What can I say, I’m easy to please. And, I should have really asked what I just said, but that would have made for a longer question and made me look even more of a pillock than I already am.
I didn’t want to forget to thank you for suggesting Mawson Resources Limited. Even with my limited knowledge about what makes an explorer valuable, this stock seems like an amazing find. It was nice to see it pop yesterday over 10% when everything else was down. Thanks.
