Forget the Masks : Sweden PM Says Face Masks offer False Sense of Security
There are Dozens of Randomized Peer Reviewed Studies cited in the Mask Post that prove they are not of any use in preventing airborn viral infections
But alas One poster claims to have read all of these studies and dismisses their validity because presumedly he is qualified to do so and further claims to have access to HUNDREDS of ramdomized peer reviewed studies that conclude Masks are effective…
But alas he has not yet posted them. So I reject any and all further discussion regarding this issue with this poster (kemmrich) until he produces all of these hundreds of studies.
So putting all this aside .

Do we really NEED any studies to determine if Masks Work ?
A Picture is worth 1 billion masks.
If anyone really thinks about it, any filter that could stop virus-sized particles or even aerosols and small droplets the size that would still contain viruses, would have to have a much larger surface area than any mask has in order to allow the half a litre of air in the average breath to pass through. Breathing through a mask whose pore size was adequate to stop viruses would probably have such a low airflow as to suffocate anyone wearing it. It’s a matter of simple filtration physics. Pore size, density of pores per inch, volume of air required per minute to pass through, and so on. They would also clog up quite quickly just like a new vacuum cleaner bag since almost anything virus-sized and up would be stopped in the pores and proportionately reduce the airflow. In short, if you can comfortably breathe through a mask, then it can’t possibly be stopping virus-sized particles.
