Let’s go back 10 years.
I buy a book written by Peter Schiff outlining the consequences of overwhelming debt and runaway money printing. My wife, for some unknown reason, picks it up and reads it.
Suddenly, everything I’d been talking about since 2001 makes sense to her. Nothing I EVER said opened her mind. Then she reads Schiff’s book and now she’s about as conservative as conservative can get.
With that preamble, here’s Schiff’s comment on today’s action in the precious…
“So, what does the silver and gold rally mean? Peter called it a canary in the coal mine.
And the canary is dropping dead.”
LOL
Actually the reason they would bring the canary into the coal mine was to see if it would drop dead. If the canary died it was because there was toxic air in the mine. Peter is indicating that the monetary system we have in place today is turning toxic.
If you are investing in mining companies and don’t know what the “canary in the coal mine” is about, you shouldn’t be investing in mining stocks.
The canary under my mask is dead does that mean anything?
Always with the ‘rona stuff…but yes, that dead canary under your mask means a lot!!! I see Plunger selling today. Very tempting to do the same, lotsa profits sitting there…
sb, I’ve experienced the same – until someone ‘discovers’ it for themselves it’s like talking to a wall – I stopped talking a while ago. My wife’s truth is still buried in her ‘smart’phone news feeds. Selling remaining target % in my miners today it looks like (#3 of 3).
