The vaccine uses a new, untested, and very controversial experimental RNA technology that Gates has backed for over a decade. Instead of injecting an antigen and adjuvant as with traditional vaccines, Moderna plugs a small piece of coronavirus genetic code into human cells, altering DNA throughout the human body and reprogramming our cells to produce antibodies to fight the virus. mRNA vaccines are a form of genetic engineering called “germ line gene editing”. Moderna’s genetic alterations are passed down to future generations. In January, The Geneva Statement, the world’s leading ethicists and scientists, called for an end to this kind of experimentation.

“Show me the toxicity data.” I am going to remember this line when I refuse the DNA altering vaccine.
A good line. I will have to remember to try to use the magic word though and smile.
I think many physicians and other medical people — unless they are really sick with some terminal disease or horribly disabled — often like to see **other** people take new meds for a few years before they do and will ask for alternatives if prescribed the latest and greatest. That is just for regular pharmacology not something possibly really new in approach.
I don’t think it is too uncommon for a drug company to do the regular testing and (we will presume they cover nothing up) see nothing bad, but when the new drug gets used on orders of magnitude more people than in testing, then the problems appear. The problems may take years to show up for that matter. Similar problems can occur with new surgical or other invasive procedures.
Remembe fen-phen, the drug combo for curing obesity? It was a miracle for many people, I think. Many, many people took it about 20-25 years ago. Then it turned out it caused as a side effect increased blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries, a horrible complication — unpleasant and if bad enough eventually fatal — not readily treated. A couple I knew, psychiatrists (very much establishment insiders), told me that they had an old friend, a cardiologist in a tiny US city, whose practice consisted largely of people who had been treated for obesity by these seemingly wonderful pharm treatment but then developed this miserable complication. I was told never if at all possible go for a new treatment unless there is no good alternative–their opinion.
I have until now been a huge vaccine enthusiast. I think I will wait to see how a few tens or hundreds of other million people do with their new vaccine for a couple of years, if I can get away with it. Maybe for fun I’ll try holding off on the influenza vaccine this year unless maybe my doctor fires me.
LOL. I’ve been fired more than once by doctors. 🙂 But I do respect them.
