   If Trump loses in November, I wonder what that does to NAK’s prospects? I doubt that the Democrats will be as supportive of the project.

   Probably the reason that I don’t buy this one. I know the goal is to make money, but that mining project in Alaska is a very bad idea and will get squashed in the next administration.

   I might have fallen for incorrect propaganda, but I have the sense that the project is not wanted by many of the locals. Many, many of them.

   And it would be a huge project because the grades are so low (number of ounces, grams, etc large — but tons of rock to be moved — just monstrous).

   Low grades, lots and lots and lots of rock, questionable economics. I think that is something that may deserve to go in investors’ and managements’ backyards unless the locals want it. I think they may well have valid concerns about a massive project that goes under leaving a huge mess if the economics were to change.

   But I really do not know. I have received anti-mine propaganda associated with this site that is clearly dishonest. I may be wrong. I just think I’d like to see more indication that this thing would be economical in bad times and that it had more support from the locals than I think.

       The charts, and the due diligence you do, are much appreciated.
       Just bought my first position in NAK … a tiny 1140 shares.
       I think its worth a bet!

         NAK is the same as any other stock. Just ignore the noise and focus on the chart. Set your stop levels and let the chart guide you.

           “Any other stock” … LOL … I couldn’t agree more!
           However, I lean upon your expertise, Northstar and other expert chartists, to initiate a brand new entry as in “buy the breakout”!
           I’d heard of NAK but never invested in it before.
           If it goes up, up, and away from here, then great!
           If it goes down, then I will evaluate a cost-avg-down strategy.
           This strategy has worked many a time for me, sometimes the timespan can get excruciatingly long.

           But now, I believe we are in a gold-silver environment, where a rising tide will lift all the boats.
           How much each such boat rises, time will tell.

       Northern Dynasty has its own little halls of mirrors, much like COVID-19, whereby those on each side are unreliable propagandists.

       Nevertheless I do not trust the source cited above.

       I tend to rely more on another source I saw fairly recently, even though I recall it as an obnoxious or ideologically biased one. According to it, the company was offering to pay a cash bonus to locals who offered to sign a petition — **by a certain date** — stating that they supported the project. According to the article there had been only an extremely limited number of takers from the diverse subpopulations from which there has been pronounced opposition to the project.

       Two concepts I think still underly and so to speak underMINE any deserved confidence in the mine:

       1. There is little confirmation of the widespread local skepticism, even bitter opposition, from locals

       2. There is a good question of ability to make good if the music stops in the middle of an ueber-massive project that has dicey economics (ratio of produced commodities to used commodities including or not including labor)

       It’s all great fun for investors and management if copper prices rise and rise while e.g. fuel prices are nice and low, but less so if the converse occurs and oops things go bust. Not so much fun for the locals with a big eyesore even if not toxic that they may not have wanted. I don’t know that high gold prices do it alone. I may well be wrong though.

         Correction: 1. There is little confirmation of real *diminution* of widespread local skepticism, even bitter opposition. (The cited article, which likely comes from company PR, merely states that *some* locals have been hired etc.)
