dyu626: Please don’t try and introduce realism here. It pops the echo chamber, protective bubble by the “virus is a hoax created by the gates/soros/fuachi/clinton cabal” crowd that has taken over.
I only wear the mask while I am shopping, so it is not that long a time. I am not that bothered by it, but I can’t say that I enjoy wearing it. I do take it off as soon as I can back in the car, though. I don’t wear it if I am going on walks and such.
I think the masks are only a piece of the armor. Staying away from large crowds inside is probably the best. Then you have the hand-washing, physical distancing, vitamins and all that stuff.
I read your PCR stuff last week. It was interesting and made sense and I am sure that medical professionals can disagree on the right PCR threshold. I don’t need to read about it again this week.
I admit not to having done a thorough and rigorous study of the literature on medical personnel and their life expectancies. However I know that many many surgeons and other physicians and other medical personnel who have worn masks much of the day for much of the year have done fairly well and have not dropped like poisoned flies. People often do procedures, masked, that last for hours without relief. I cannot I suppose rule out that they would live longer without masks or that their patients would do better if they did not wear masks. However, much as I question much in medicine at times, I have to say that I think that I as a patient like having them wear masks and I have known various older medical personnel who have been involved in all sorts of surgical and similar procedures. Perhaps they would be healthier in old age and live even longer w/o masks or do better with oxygen treatment during work? I cannot know, but as perhaps irrational bias I don’t think current methods are too too bad in this regard.
I am less familiar with those who have to use N-95 masks or P-100 masks, such as people in construction or repair work where there’s lots of dust. I do not happen to know of such people dropping like flies. However often significant problems do not show up unless rigorous well controlled epidemiological work, often repeated in multiple different ways, is performed. I haven’t looked for such epidemiology. So it is possible that wearing such masks is hazardous. I had never heard of these masks’ safety being questioned previously. (I know my allergist told me to wear a N-95 when in highly allergenic environments, and he is usually way too given to warn about side effects.)
I therefore have to admit to be bad at not having looked at the epidemiology of surgeons etc (it would be hard to find studies of control surgeons who operated w/o masks hough!) and of builders etc with N95 masks. Perhaps I am open to being called biased, but I have to be skeptical. There are lots of fairly healthy older surgeons, and I would suspect builders as well. To be honest, although I think some of the regulators requiring masks are extreme and unnecessary, I think some of the questioning of safety of masks **seems** to me to be a bit nutty. But that’s just me and my unscientific prejudices, I suppose.
Interesting video ! Thanks Fully !
Has anyone here tried wearing a mask and then putting the oxygen meter on your finger? Wore it for 1 hour and a mask and it stayed between 97 and 98%
Where can I get one ?

I repeat where can I get a finger thingy ..I would like to try it out.
take your pick. you can get it at CVS, walmart, amazon. literally everywhere.

kemmrich…how do you feel when you wear a mask
Do you feel ..safe ?
Superior ?
Comfortable ?
Like you can’t wait to get somewhere where you can take it off ?
Headaches ?
or just fine ?
Also would like a comment on the PCR test information just posted…seems to be a good deal of realism there…no comment ?

Here’s a study showing decreased O2 in surgeons wearing masks

So watch this …should be enough information to form an opinion

I wear a mask at work …and I can tell you after 10 minutes…I always have to take a break and take it off for a few minutes.
The N95 masks ?
Are horrible…i will not wear one
Suffocating !
