The rift between Right and Left is so wide and bitter.
But I also wondered how would that work…I mean the Righties and Lefties all look similar
How do you know who to kill ?
Apart from the fact Righties are armed with guns and Lefties are armed with Lawyers 🙂
But Now…it will be obvious…the “civil” war will be between the masked and the barefaced !

Now that everyone is venturing out you can just “hear” the thoughts
The Guys and gals with the masks are looking with disdain at the ones without ..and thinking…”selfish bastards …they should be arrested!”
Those unmasked are looking at the masked ones and thinking “what frightened idiots !”
And never the twain shall meet !
And as throughout history, especially old westerns. The masked wear “black hats” (bad guys) the unmasked wear “white hats” (good guys)!

Much like the Confederate states who lawfully seceded from the United States of America to secure the freedoms they were losing/had lost to the government in D.C., this time there is unlikely to be a secession. Although there are serious secessionist groups/orgs in a handful of states, the likelihood of them achieving the desired (and correct, I might add) secession is rather small. What is more likely is open warfare not unlike the original fight for independence with the British. Although this time, it will not be nearly as civil and will indeed bring blood in the streets. I see no way to avoid this, and expect it will happen during my childrens’ lifetimes. Half of them believe me, the others are wavering. This Covid hoax/excuse for big government dictate has opened their eyes…
What gets me most of all is this simple fact: while there is a media and government uproar (and many who join in) about a disease that likely will rack up something close to 100,000 deaths in the U.S. (not sure if I believe those stats or not) there is not much tear-shedding over the intentional slaughter of nearly 1 million – 1,000,000 – innocent babies THIS YEAR, in the womb and shortly after birth. If there is room for an uproar, that holocaust dwarfs anything Covid 19 is capable of delivering.

17 years ago, when I first became a dad, I knew which political party would have my vote.
Now I happen to live in the left-most west-most state, CA.
I could never figure out why even the conservative Asians become liberals when they immigrate here.

On abortion my personal stance is pro choice as it is on eveything…that i believe is called libertarianism
I believe we should of course have a choice to be vaccinated or not and I believe a woman should have domain over her body and “her” baby

The gap between freedom loving Americans and those who prefer a government directed life, economy and commerce has been growing and accelerating for many decades. We are close to the culmination of the divide between freedom-driven Americans and progressive (communist) Americans. Pretty simple. I see no possible way to bridge this divide, as progessivism (read communism) is built into our institutions, our media, and getting close to a dominant majority. The 2016 election simply stalled the inevitable. Like Trump, hate Trump, think he is a buffoon, an idiot, brilliant or whatever – the man stood in the gap and has promoted freedom in ways hardly any president before him. Regardless, this divide will indeed result in blood in the streets. No way to avoid it. The preferential way to go would be secession – but the odds are huge that will not happen.
My fear is that this will occur during my children’s lifetimes. Half agree with me, the other half are wavering, This Covid excuse for a trial run of government edict of our lives has moved them far in my direction.

Re abortion – there are two bodies involved, whether you admit it or not. Since you are a science guy, science says two bodies from inception. It is no one’s right to murder another human, unless protecting themselves or their families. Whatever made you think that libertarianism is perfect? And on what basis do you create a legal code? The choice a woman makes is when she chooses to make a baby. After that, it is two bodies involved. And someone, mainly men, is charged with that protection. The consequence of not protecting babies in the womb is a death culture – and while it may be fine for you to choose when you die by doing it yourself or having it inflicted upon you, by all means, have at it. The problem, though, is when “lawful” euthanasia comes into existence it quickly develops into forced euthanasia – the culling of the old by the medical “profession” and the government.
You also ignore the killing of babies post-birth, the worst criminality imaginable. But hey, I guess that is libertarianism…..
Regardless, we once regarded the Romans and other cultures that practiced infanticide barbaric, but now barbarism shows few boundaries, and those few are being eliminated rapidly. It is unfortunate that your belief system does not include a God who creates life – for if it did, you would look aghast at the killing of the unborn.

There is NO “body” nor consciousness in the first or second or 3rd months…just a blob of organizing protoplasm with “potential” for a life.

Forced euthanasia is also not something that a libertarian will agree with …I get to chose what I do with my body and what is done to it.. as long as it does not compromise you or anyone else …personal choice ..in everything …that’s what I believe in.
Choose your drugs …there are NO illegal drugs…just illegal behaviors which may be associated with any particular drug.
Drink alcohol..snort cocaine…mainline heroin .. if that’s what you want…just don’t drive when you are doing it….and don’t expect to have a lot of friends .

The civil war was not about freedom loving southern states, it was about slavery. Kemmrich, I would be happy to share with you extensive original documents, including northern newspaper articles, Lincoln’s own insistence that the war was not about slavery, commentary from noted journalists, philosophers, politicians, etc etc etc. I, too, once believed what you do…since I was spoon fed that from earliest memories by government indoctrination. But I bumped into a few folks who provided statistics and endless reams of factual information to the contrary. To think the Confederacy was all about slavery is to ignore history in the face of a few selected documents.
One quick question for you…if it was about slavery, why did General Grant own slaves until AFTER the war? Perhaps that would open up the investigative side of your intellect.
Wrong again. Grant married into a slave holding family. It seems he did own one slave (a gift from the father in law?), but he freed him in 1859.

Now, it is up to us: how to “educate” our next generation to not be swayed by politics … We have been had numerous times, treated as a number, laughed at as peons … but what should we do for our kids … the schools / colleges … vaunted institutions of higher learning, they are all excellent at brainwashing them, skewing them towards the “left” … even though I understand the left/right game, that left/extreme-liberalism mentality at colleges still scares the $%^& out of me.

Lots of warnings about gold being overbought … to take profits and wait on sidelines … I’m not so sure … what if another sharp dip is engineered, and again another “V-shape” happens?
Selling 10-20% positions and taking some profits is what I’m pondering, but not sure yet.
OMG. I get to talk my book. There are too many people bullish. Small speculators are/were all in. If there is only 9 or 10 percent of small specs not long there’s nobody left to buy. Look at the volume in GDX/GDXJ on this fast rise. Weak. I am long term bullish but short term cautious till GDXJ hits low 40’s. I can always chase if I’m wrong.
Don’t be looking to take profits. Be looking to add to long positions on ALL dips. Early days in gold bull market. Greatest bull market in financial history in SILVER, just started! Get right, sit tight.
