Meanwhile, progressives and many journalists have developed a near-theological commitment to the lockdowns, such that any information that undermines them is considered unwelcome, even threatening. This accounts for the widespread sense that no one should say things have gotten better … or people are going to die.
Usually when it is thought the public can’t handle the truth, it is a truth about some threat that could spark panic. In this case, the truth is information that might make people think it’s safe to go outside again.
Almost all the discussion about reopening is framed by worries that we will reopen too soon, not that we might reopen too late—that is literally unthinkable.”

Just proves what most of us already know. The press, especially today’s press, always has an agenda. The reporting is almost never balanced with the goal being to inform(all sides of the story) but rather to put forth a narrative for usually political goal and disparage any alternative that doesn’t track with that agenda.
We will know in about 15-30 days how well the re-opening is going. I will venture that warmer weather and being outside could be positive factors also (hopefully). I am taking my vitamin D!!!
My daughter works at a brewery in the food truck and they had a packed weekend. We stopped by yesterday to listen to a bit of music. The food truck had to shutdown for a bit to prep more food, so sales were brisk. We didn’t stay long, but it seemed like most folks were being as safe as they could. All outside in family groups. There is a smart way out of all this.
