NY Antibody test Update
From April 27
ALBANY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday that the number of statewide random antibody tests has expanded to 7,500, which reveals a better picture of the extent of coronavirus spread in New York.
Cuomo said 14.9% of those tested statewide tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies, which is up from the initial 13.9% statewide when a previous sample of 3,000 people was done on April 22. Cuomo said the 1% increase is statistically in the margin of error.
Regionally, the results suggest:
24.7% positive in New York City
15.1% positive in Westchester/Rockland
14.4% positive on Long Island
3.2% positive in the rest of the state
Using their numbers, average of 15% as positive and extrapolating over the total population of NY:
15% x 20 million = 3 million positive with the virus
Deaths NY so far = 26,000 deaths/3 million positive in population = 0.8% case fatality rate
That is, over 99% of those those who have it in NY, will survive.
Across the total population of 20 million the chance of dying from this is 15% x 0.8% = 0.1% which is same as a bad flu season
Its a nothing burger, which has been used as cover for another agenda, which we are now starting to see
That’s the point I am trying to make….thanks Spock
We need to do the math.
This particular antibody test being used has been vetted and is believed to be quite accurate
It seems so to me… as the highest concentrations are in NYC and surrounding area and the lowest in the less populated counties while the middlest are in Western NY ( Buffalo Rochester Syracuse)…exactly as you would expect .
