I’m worried
Not that silver lagged… it never joined the party! Time retarded? Great time to nibble at silver? Or waste of time? What are you guys doing?
Edit: Looking back at my silver vs gold chart with Mansfield indicator… the high points of silver out performing gold were lower post 2011 (look at points 1,2,3) . Looks like the silver metal itself will be less important this time around in the precious bulls market.
I think silver is telling us something bad is in the cards.. on the medium term… as in 2009, problems were far smaller and not a long term medium term worry. That is why I won’t hesitate to take profits when gold touches all-time highs. This doesn’t feel right. Deflation risks still on table. …

Silver lagged for at least a year when the 2000/2001 gold stock bull market began. It drove me nuts.
Recall when I mentioned that there were a hundred reasons to get out of a position on the way up. That’s one. Look at the BPGDM for another.
And low volume! Just like then.
Thanks Noman. I think will pop soon… trying to keep myself honest.
Hi Patrick
In a word ( 2 words)
Silver Sucks !
Yes we will are in a huge deflationary depression
yes it will last a long time
yes silver is NOT money It is a commodity
Gold will rise IMHO because of it’s monetary role
Silver has NO role !
This time is Different….Obviously different …IMHO
I have to agree with you until Silver proves us otherwise. Better go long SIL stocks where they get that FED liquidity boost.
IMHO Being in silver stocks/silver for the first 2-3 years of a gold bull is an opportunity cost event. Novices always go for silver cuz its cheap and it has vast potential. I plan to go into silver after my goldies run a bit.
I agree with Fully. Silver is being treated as an industrial metal here, lumped in with copper. Watch copper to see when it moves higher, I would guess silver should follow. But we’re still in the deflationary phase. I wouldn’t touch $SLV or $USLV here yet. Could be wrong. Then there’s also that comparison between soybeans & silver.
I would also be watching some of the rare earth metals here for recovery in certain technology sectors, such as the 5G buildout. (hint: Cesium, the metal that’s supposedly critical in the 5G revolution)
