Don’t forget the Milk and the Antibodies
Grocery Store Blood Tests …ha …who’d a thunk it.
https://cbs6albany.com/news/coronavirus/antibody-study-finds-123-percent-have-covid-19-antibodies
Back of the napkin (preliminary) calculation of the infection death rate
1…..19,450,000 people in New York State
2…….12.3% random sample shown to have been infected ( samples taken in many parts of the state and this is the average)
3……..1 X 2 = 2,392,250 people infested by the virus
4…….24,648 deaths in New York State ( reference Worldometer)
5……..4 / 3 = 1% Death rate per infection
6……..Thats a lot better than the ‘advertised” 7.6% Death rate per the documented cases .
Of course for 30 to 50 year olds this rate could be lower by a factor of 10 ( .1%) since only 10 % of the deaths are in this age category and for those over 80 with conditions the rate will be much higher than 1% of course.
Anyhow this is all preliminary but I think it’s good news that
7…..2.4 million New Yorkers are shown by this study to have the antibodies …the more the better.
Selective testing of those with the worst symptoms has yielded 320,000 cases …so there have been approximately well over 2 million cases undetected …all of which resolved or are in the process of resolving.
Looking forward to more mass blood testing ….this is just the start of finding out how wide spread this thing really is.
The “PCR” test they use only tests for presence of bits of the Covid-19 RNA in the blood. The RNA is not antibodies. Most of the population have the RNA in their bodies already. So the test is meaningless.
Not all these tests work that way
I suspect this one is valid
Look at the different regions tested in NY State
The North Country with few documented cases has the lowest antibody positives
Westchester and Long island with the highest confirmed cases also had the highest antibody positives
middling areas were in the middle.
To me this confirms these tests are valid
If they were picking up random bits of RNA all areas would be the same % positive
