   According to Bob Hoye Financial historian Hyperinflation do not happen in country where there is strong credit market. Plus US is currency is a reserve currency.

   All the examples of Hyperinflation have been of the nations had a weak currency and no credit markets.

   Yes god will rise but not the reason of hyperinflation.

   So, given the coronavirus pandemic is causing all types of businesses to freeze operations, lay off 30-40-50% or more employees, and non-essential spending is virtually dead … heck, even essential spending e.g. gas, is virtually dead as everyone is locked inside their homes … it seems at least till the end of the pandemic and even a few months beyond that the money velocity is going to continue to decline even faster now!

   This is going to be an interesting period for gold and silver. We might see some lower prices for gold. But hopefully those who bought physical in the USD 1700s paying hefty premiums this month, won’t sell if it goes to $1500 … or will they?

   Also, when those three major Swiss refiners come out of lockdown, will that put downward pressure on the price of gold?

     The market is a discount mechanism.. so hopefully the short term decline in velocity is priced it.. and when velocity actually bottoms out.. markets will already be pricing in the increase. You can see this in the RINF

   I think Mike’s call has got it closest. He is silver biased.. but that shouldnt negate alot of the other macro work he has done.
