Thats where he hangs out.
Here is his post from 10:30
…………………….
With the disclaimer that only God knows if this entire sector can be smashed to zero, it sure looks like this mornings opener
finally washed out the weakest of hands.

Have to admit at this mornings lows in the PM stocks felt like the ultimate gut check. When I find myself thinking I might as well deploy my remaining cash since its either the bottom or I am going to get wiped out…. that’s a real gut check
GDX & GDXJ now green on the day after a classic V bottom…. unbelievable
With limited remaining cash reserves I did buy NG MTA and AEM at the bottom… I had to close my eyes

Sir Plunger: I felt like puking as well, but I held ? I am in green so far ?
I also think that we have witnessed a true bottom, but only the time will tell.
P.S. Unfortunately, I did not buy at the very bottom today as I could not look at the screen for a while ?

I didn’t have much left to deploy (foolishly). but I did have that full blown wrenching puke impulse this morning. I didn’t sell but instead threw the last reserves I was willing to deploy into Mainly MTA. Now up 41% from when I bought it. Just wish I had more

Sir Plunger: I think this is not the last shake out. We should probably expect these until “bad news” are over and until market are done falling. BTW, where do you expect DOW and S&P end up after all said and done?

Lucky Chart,
This may or may not be the bottom in the gold sector, that’s kind of an impossible call, but I do know one thing the statement that bad news has to be over first for a bottom to get put in is incorrect. That’s not how markets work. The market is a discounting mechanism. It will turn up well prior to “bad news” ending.

non-levered 25% move off of its lows for the day
I waded into GOAU, it was down the least from everything I saw but it did turn me a profit. Maybe the big boys are still positioning into the producers?
This a.m. I was going to sell some more of my miners and both GDX and GDXJ which I had been bottom feeding on, only to keep going lower.
I had about six sell orders in and was waiting, nothing would go through.
After about 10 minutes I chickened out and canceled all of them!
I KNEW, if I sold the bottom would get put in!!!! So I didn’t and the “a” bottom at least did.
This was definitely a day the miners decoupled from the market!
Actually bought FNV in the AM based on his call last week. It was just going green when I entered. Hope to have that one for a while
