   To my mind, the higher mortality rate (compared to flu), means that we need to hope it doesn’t infect as many as the flu does. If that we’re to happen, our healthcare systems wouldn’t be able to cope. 1 or 2% of many million, would be a lot of dead people. Containment is crucial here. Either way, the global financial cost will be astronomical.

   How do we know it is more contagious than the flu ?

   If so how do we explain that in Hubei where there are said to be 50 million people

   and which was shut off from the rest of the world and left to incubate the official number of cases is under 70,000.

   The rate of new cases is declining of late. So in 3 months or so 70,000 out of 50 million were infected.

   I don’t know how all this will shake out of course but Where is the science that says the covid-19 is more contagious than

   the flu ? That is the starting premise of this whole expansive article .

   When you start with a faulty premise the thesis cannot hold water. Is there a study cited in this article which states that there is a higher contagious rate than flu ? And if so is it a credible study by credible researchers ?

   I am getting tired of trying to poke holes in all this extrapolating so maybe I should just shut up.

   I don’t believe anything from ZH or the CCP.

   Actions speak louder than words IMO. The initial reaction out of CCP speaks volumes the lack of data from CCP also speaks volumes. I would guess CCP just aren’t reporting anymore? So does lack of reporting give you a warm and fuzzy cause the infected numbers haven’t dropped either apparently, how long does one have just the flu 6 weeks and counting?

   It appears data from reputable countries the pre-existing ill and +60 crowd stats might cause concern to such similar individuals? The below 50 numbers appear to be far less concerning to others?

   IMO financial stress in the markets mixed with the Covid 19 disruption (just like disruptive technology) is what we have to deal with apparently. A possible GFC and a 2 Global Disruptions (Medical & Supply Chain) make for plenty of market action.
