Markets are crumbling because others see something coming that you obviously don’t (or won’t).
Oh … and you really TRUST those numbers?
This is only just beginning.
Maybe I’ll get this virus and croak next week and you can say I told you so?
But a little perspective.
We have hundreds of deadly viruses in our bodies at all times.
Close Calls: Three Times When Humanity Barely Escaped Extinction.
Honestly, I think the whole thing is being blown all out of perspective!
Yes, Pedro I do see what is very common, fear mongering!
Your chances of dying from millions of other reasons are happening everyday!
The Buddhist say, “The Source of All Our Suffering Is the Thinking Mind.”
First, there are many unknowns, but some of the knowns and probables are highly unattractive, especially when taken together. These include (among other things) that people with few if any symptoms apparently can be quite contagious, possibly for well over a week; that people who recover from the sickness either can get reinfected or the bug hides in the body and can make them sick again; that the biology of the virus makes it exceedingly difficult to make an effective vaccine, certainly quickly; that the virus apparently can stay viable for days on surfaces; that apparently (unlike influenza and colds) it can be transmitted not just by little droplets but also as viruses themselves through the air. And it has a relatively high mortality rate (1 in 10 -ish for older people for example) and potentially can easily overwhelm a country’s hospitals in a trice.
For these reasons, for better or worse, much normal economic activity will be curtailed for a while, whether it turns out rightly or wrongly (I suspect they’re right). That means factories shut or underproducing, shipping down, restaurants going broke, and so forth. Lots of economic contraction, bankruptcies–and on top of it frantic efforts to counter the effects by creating fiat etc. Unlike the chronic diseases, which are a chronic economic burden, even if the disease itself proves not to be as much of a problem as people worry about, the measures taken will constitute a kick in the gut of the world economy — or worse. China seems to be seeing a lowering in the disease, but that is after weeks of draconian measures of having much of the country on lockdown. Just that is going to harm the world’s economy. Just worrying about contraction there — and elsewhere — is terrifying many people. Whether the biology is bad or not just the fear of massive worldwide quarantines can scare the markets half to death.
Or at least that’s how I see it.
160,000 people die a DAY from so called “natural causes.” Much of it self inflicted due to poor health..
You’re Likely to Get the Coronavirus!
Most cases are not life-threatening, which is also what makes the virus a historic challenge to contain.

You can probably count on the world that there will be another crisis sooner than later.
