In this 2020 caper.. we got “Powell” as the mob boss with his goons at the Federal Reserve banks… and our crazy crew trying to put one on top of him!
Our trio of grifters consists of the reliable leader Nasdaq, representing the east end crew “US Equities” …
Then there is the eccentric getaway driver called Bob “silver” Mayhem … he drives fast and hard…
He Just wants inflation.. but is ready to take some monetary imbalances also as a loot!
Completed by the brains of the operation… “gold” … He’s looking for Powell to trip up… make a mistake in policy… and create unprecedented montary imbalances!
The plot goes that the Fed is too tight… not wanting to share the goodies of fast times at the printing presses!
And we want some of that fun… we like them inflated and liquid!
So the bait is Nasdaq… he’ll faint a heart attack in front of the Federal Bank in New York…
Powell will hesitate to go out the front door… suspecting a trick
But after some creative acting and more coughing … Powell falls for the trap!
The loot is awesome! Nasdaq and his gang of “US equities” get all the liquidity wanted to continue “buy back operations” ….
And Gold and Silver reap the benefits of all that inflation and imbalances… costing everybody more and more cheap dollars to buy them!

Looks like the Plot is gonna work though..
Certainly sounds like your typical caper complete with a keystone cops, a nefarious mob boss and of course blind regulators.
We are supposed to avoid politics here. I am perhaps treading on thin ice here.
I have noted that I go to moonofalabama.org for alternative ways of seeing things. It is interesting to look at things from differing biases and MoA gives an extreme perspective different from the usual. (I actually see no “news” source with which I agree, BTW.)
MoA’s highly informed but highly biased blogger snipes at the governments of the US, UK, etc but tends (IMO) remarkably to gloss over flaws of Russia, China, Iran, NKorea etc., as do MoA’s generally leftwing but also occasionally right-libertarian commenters. In any case, one of its more conspiratorially-theorizing (left wing) commenters had a formulation about the US, UK etc governments that I think he would would apply also to the central bankers even. He stated that a way to think about government officials is as operatives or puppets controlled by international gangs of mobsters. The mobsters operate above them behind the scenes. I don’t know that this formulation is perfectly accurate, but it is entertaining to consider. I throw it out as an alternative formulation to yours, Patrick–that Powell is but a low-level puppet or front of what amount to international gangs of gangsters, as are “western” government officials.
