   Dude, this is the news. You act like ZH makes it up. Gold popped $7 on the news. Then within minutes the PPT went to work with the unlimited power of the printing press. Why such a cynic? This news hit a little after 5pm CST. Yes there are charts and you can see when it happened. Sheesh, please be less liberal when you paint things as “fake”. I’ll always be here to remind you of your wrong call 🙂

     $7 for a few minutes …..that’s a little extreme to say the least.

     I watch the gold price all the time…like most here and…. I never even noticed this “pop”

     And Oil was up today…..so if we are using the markets to tell the story …which is the central tenant of Technical Analysis.

     The markets doesn’t seem to care about this story for whatever reason.

   Agreed, we are men that have seen $50 moves so a $7 blip, meh! But the point it is that this is the news that drove it up a blip. I held my tongue for twenty days since watching this story. When Wuhan was quarantined I could no longer. I was first to call out this story here at the tent and for good reason. The science is still being gathered yet everybody already had their minds made up. If I hear one more person say it isn’t as bad as the flu….The facts we know are it has killed more than SARS in only 30 days, it is a much higher RO than Flu, infected can be asymptomatic for nearly a month! When you listen to virologist, this has them VERY concerned. Spanish Flu started in Kansas, it is only called Spanish Flu because Spain was the first county to call attention to the problem. Too little too late. Sound familiar? The fact that Wall St. isn’t paying attention doesn’t mean the smartest men went and listened to the scientist and discounted it. Wall St is mostly AI and they haven’t had time to figure out this black swan yet. I guess they are assuming the FED will coddle them into inflation. The pillars of the temple, AAPL, TSLA, AMZN will not fall. Laughable but maybe true. If anything the bankers are listening now and getting ready to pump and dump but that is just a theory I have 🙂

   I have a feeling I can’t seem to shake. The general stock market seems heavy to me….kind of like an elephant pressing down on your chest….I can’t describe it any better, I guess I better lay off the psychotropics for a while and switch to dry martinis(shaken not stirred). Plan B is to my cardiologist.

   I have an uneasy feeling too. If/when we get a large outbreak in a western democracy, perhaps we might find out some more about the real threat level of this thing. One thing I know for absolute certain – the healthcare system here in the UK would not be able to cope with it. The stock markets are on a seemingly never-ending run to infinity and the US Dollar – well, what can I say about that ? Actually, I’ve been looking at the chart VERY closely in the last day or two. I’m still not convinced it’s going up much from here. I may post a chart in the next day or two on that.
