Last 2 times there was such a gap on this chart there was a severe reversal immediately leaving an Island Bottom
It would only be fair…if this happens again with this outlandish gap up

I have glanced at dozens of prices just now. They are all over the place, and not in any blatantly coherent fashion. Silver and copper companies up as well as down as if copper and silver have been going up. I think things are a bit nutty right now. The Caribbean earthquake might be rattling some brains too much or market makers are going beserk thinking they are having to give testimony for or against Trump, or are infected with some virus newer than the new corona virus one that affects their brains. Stock prices just aren’t correlating with listed metals prices too much. Things aren’t making too too much sense.
Seems to me that things need to settle down a bit before calls are more than wild guesses, at least by me.
I now have what I believe is the best explanation of the nuttiness — of the bad behavior of the quoted metal prices:
it’s Comex Options Expiration day.
I just glanced at Jesse’s Cafe ( https://jessescrossroadscafe.blogspot.com/ ) and saw that his title for his Jan 27 blog entry was
‘Stocks and Precious Metals Charts – A Saturation of Arrogance – Comex Options Expiration Tomorrow’
He usually does try to warn readers about the Comex options expirations so that we don’t pay too much attention to what goes on the day of the expiration or the day after. Sometimes I forget to notice.
