Is gold about to go viral?
Not a conversation for the faint of heart but a conversation none the less. I suspect the Friday move was linked to this outbreak more than anything else. With what is being discovered by the hour this weekend, it wouldn’t shock me to see a crazy run starting Sunday. One of the four horsemen is out on the track.
Interesting that corona in Spanish is crown. We all know what color crowns are. kinda eerie.

Taking all comers…scary stuff in the Tent tonight.
If it happens I’ll take it (though I hate prospering from others’ misery).
However any spikes up or down on flash news items — even perhaps ones of massive importance — tend just to be transient. The spikes are fine as vehicles for shorter term adroit traders with no emotional commitment to gold. Often however people will get too excited by the positive spikes and overcommit — then get squeezed as prices come back down if only for a few weeks or months.
It is true, however, that an event like this could serve like something crashing into a dam so that a flow, long held back, might occur for months or years. I certainly don’t know.
Appreciate the reply Karl. If the one projection of tens of millions perish. What happens to outstanding debt? Could get messy very quickly as the banks are standing on their only good leg at the moment. Just speculating.
