PM Stocks getting CRUSHED !

   All gaps get filled? Maybe 1550s are support? Trump’s peace address that the was is over got stocks a ripping’ and metals squealing’. Miners caught in a “dust” storm some pretty fugly price action.

   Fun yet? I would think that some short term traders using the usual TA methodologies and perhaps using sentiment indicators would be having lots of fun shorting things short-term.

   I haven’t looked at gold stock charts, but if I eyeball the gold charts the gold price is blatantly trending upwards even in moderately short term time frames at 1520. Not very long ago we were desperately (some of us were desperate anyway) hoping for 1500.

   This is what we want to see. (We = holders of PM stocks.) We like seeing dismal sentiment. We like seeing buyers who have bought for questionable emotional reasons being panicked out of their positions in whipsaw fashion. We like this near panic in the setting of wonderful upwards biases of prices — of months, of years, of decades.

   I haven’t even gotten a fill of a buy order I put in a couple of weeks ago. I got about 1/5 of it filled, a few hundred dollars worth. I’ve been waiting and waiting for the stock price to come down, but it hasn’t.

   It is not to say that there is not any rule that Au and PM stocks can’t go to zero, or scare the XYZ**@!X out of all of us or make us surprisingly miserable for a surprisingly long time. It may be that in a few weeks I need to reassess and sell a ton of stuff. I am skeptical however. So many trends are positive.

   (I am unfortunately also skeptical about that war being over. There are too many unanswered questions; too many built up stresses; too many devious and highly motivated characters, some patient; too many grudges, fantasies, and memories.)

   Dimes are getting crushed today too, as in ‘changing on a dime’.

   Assuming they are underfoot, during the about-face.

   (Do they still have dimes anymore? Haven’t seen one in ages.)
