Gold Miners – GDX – Preparing To Launch ?

   Like silver stocks have done with silver, do you see gold stocks continuing to rise even if gold goes lower ($1430 or $1400)? From what I can tell GDX:SPY and GDX:GLD have both broken out in favor of miners.

   I think its probably academic. Even if we test $1400, I do expect relative strength in the miners, so downside is small compared to the upside.

     Understand the limited downside, but I ask if you would anticipate the bowl in your GDX pic break if gold goes down to lower levels. I know it’s speculation at this point … just curious about your thoughts.

       The bowl may be broken to the downside (very low risk), but not on a monthly, closing basis.
