The downside for gold miners looks very small compared to the upside. A very important breakout is tantalisingly close. Once we reach the sort of target area I’ve indicated here, I plan to exit ALL PM miner positions until the bottom is confirmed and we resume upwards into the late 2020’s.

It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes us to reach that 60-65 region. Once there, we could chop around for quite a while before the drop into the 2024 low. For me, it’s just a case of bailing out in that 60-65 zone and waiting for 2023/24 to play out. It may be that we reach 60-65 in 2020 or 21, then stay at a similar level into 2022, and fall fast in 2023. We’ll know nearer the time, but my basic expectations and strategy are in place.
Maybe thhe 40/45 level could be strong resistance for longer period than corrent correction.
