   Help me here. I can’t keep up with this company under current management.

   Who or what is the cash cow partner?

   Also, I’m not sure which assay results are being referenced. There’s one news release from today (“New Pilot Gold Project”) reporting “selective samples”. Is that the news release being referenced? It looks as if they might just have gone around looking for interesting stuff on a new property. Looking for interesting stuff can be a legitimate way of starting to survey the geology in order to decide what to do next. Alternatively, it can be a way to excite potential investors to plough money into shares if high values of gold are presented. It can be both. It does not necessarily mean very much yet. There are many parts of Planet Earth that have really small amounts of localized gold, even high grade gold, and trained geologists–even old time prospectors from centuries ago–could look at rock and figure out what looked good and come up with some nice samples.

   I see reference lower down in the news release to “grab samples” — also “soil samples”, “rock samples”, “small diamond drill program”, “chip samples”. I had to look several times at this last bunch of stuff, and am a bit tired so I may be misreading, but all this stuff seems to be from a really limited albeit far less limited prior trial exploration from prior owners of the property.

   So if this is the news release in question it’s not in and of itself bad news (unless the company is going to try to present it as meaning a really huge thing). It could be a sign of something good, great, mediocre, or not much at all. I don’t think we, or at least I, know.

   Or am I missing something?

     Oops. Sorry. I did not see Bikoo99’s link. The link was in fact to the news release I commented on above about the New Pilot Project. As far as I can tell the news release, as I noted, just refers to selective samples.

     No you r not missing anything. I do not remember NXS started any drill program. Do they have drill plans?? It takes lot of geo work to come up with credible drill plan. Appears unfortunately this will linger hers till they get their act togather.

     Thank you. Anyone know much about Hawkmoon Resources? Is it a public company? Who is behind it? It looks as if the deal may not even be finalized.

     At this point, or previously, I should probably spray out a deluge of disclaimers, but I will limit myself somewhat.

     I own stock in the company. I bought it through a private placement enabled/encouraged via my Spock subscription, to my subsequent regretan indicator of my own incompetence as an investor and speculator. Because I am a US citizen and because of the way nearly all US brokerages treat certificates or DRS of small companies (even US companies but esp foreign ones) — low cap, low price per share, low liquidity — I am stuck in it owning it in certificate form and cannot sell it easily. Although it has properties that might well turn out to be superb, I would have otherwise sold it long ago and bought something else. I know of expensive and difficult ways of selling, but I am burdened with other things, so I will have to hold for the time being and hope it hits some jackpot so I can dump it.

     But it may do well. What do I know?

       About year ago I got my shares restrictive legend removed very easily. An deposited certificate in brokerage account. Now I can sell any time.

     Here’s a bit of how not to do due diligence. The following is not due diligence. It is what I do and is an example of what is not to be done. I will not include my chart analysis, making this commentary totally inappropriate for this site.

     I note that Hawkmoon is a private company. I see no clear track record for its insiders. It has a deal with another private company — it bought a property from some guy’s private company and gave him shares. I haven’t looked him up, but it’s unclear what his background is. I should give a zero for the paucity of info, but instead I’ll give a negative since I’m cynical. An internet search of about 20 seconds indicates that Hawkmoon has or has had an investor relations person who has expressed an interest on linked in on supporting people overcoming ADHD or ADD. I see that as a plus. Good if possibly he means himself–probably a plus to have an IR person with ADD. Again, this is not how to do due diligence. This is Karl diligence. But basically an unknown bunch with an unclear agreement with it seems an unclear set of properties including at least one with an unclear news release that doesn’t say much in my opinion. Not necessarily a plus.

     Also in the lack of due diligence department is my memory of a fairly recent news release where the current management of Nexus bought a property in eastern Canada–around Red Lake as I recall, maybe Newfoundland though–again, not due diligence, I’m being vague. It was with an “arms length” purchase, and I believe the vendor retained shares of Nexus. To Karl cynical analysis “arms length” means NOT arms length until proven otherwise. The family name of the person this property was bought from was similar or identical to that of a pair of brothers “Otto” of IKN has in the past vilified as pump and dump operators, possibly most unfairly. This person might not be related to those brothers at all. This person and those brothers (if he is not one of them) might be wonderful people. For sloppy Karl analysis however there are so many many companies these points would tend to mean stay clear and not even bother to study the matter to find out. I am giving you a valuable lesson in what not to do, on how to be lazy and sloppy and incompetent.

     The management has changed since Spock originally recommended the stock. For some things I trust Spock. For other things I don’t. I am strongly inclined to have confidence in his faith in the original management. Although “Otto” made fun of African drill results of NXS, and although I do not usually like investing in Africa, I have some confidence in Spock’s judgment of African sites he has personally visited. Therefore I think thought this property was probably good despite Otto’s mockery, and I think it still may be good. I did not mind holding the stock back then so so much other than that I couldn’t sell it. However management has changed.

     So that is sloppy Karl analysis, which I am sure no one wanted. But I actually saw the news release as if anything a neg.

       To be clear, from the Karl perspective, ADD or ADHD when combined with any sort of intelligence is a plus for not just IR but most positions–I was not being sarcastic.

       A Bunch of nobodies with no geo experience want to get into the Gold market

       So start a private company and put some cash into a company like Nexus.

       I guess thats like a private placement only a big one

       Hopefully they are an ADD Pump and Forgetit group who can get us back to even

   Not due diligence in the slightest. Superficial.

   Apologies for dragging things out, but I did not necessarily mean that these people were nobodies. They might be future greats. They might already be great and I don’t know it. They might have plenty of class and refused to work at sleazy operations so the were blackballed. Moreover, I am leery of some of the big names in the bizz Also, having been accused of ADD myself (look at my style!) and having hung around ADD people all my life, I do not use the term as disparagement. Smart people with ADD know lots of stuff and can use it ingeniously, so an IR person who associates with ADD people or better yet has it himself in my opinion automatically has extra things going for him.

   People speak of drive-by shootings, which sometimes miss the target badly but can be effective. My analyses are drive-by analyses. They are not competent and undoubtedly are often way off, but they are convenient and in the setting fairly effective. A glance at a web page here, a glance there. How much cash available. A glance at the chart in different time frames. Not everything seeming right? Go somewhere else. There are so many others to choose from. Big mistakes will be made though.

   In any case, other people’s similar drive-by analyses, especially the noting that there were just samplings, might have been the explanation for little positive response to the news release.
