Loading ...Gold – Moving Averages & Indicators
On a long timescale, the various indicators move very slowly and give good buy signals for the start of a bull market when they all line up. I’m going to be watching moving averages very closely now, to gauge if our bull market is fit and healthy.

Well, big bases = big moves, so, in theory it should be equal to or larger than last time in percentage terms.

It’s the monthly chart on goldprice.org – I selected ‘moving average’ and adjusted the time period to 20 (as that seems to work very well). It doesn’t actually state whether its 20 week or 20 month moving average. However, I’m pretty sure it’s the 20 week moving average because the 6 month consolidations cause the MA to flatten out. That wouldn’t happen to that extent if it was the 20 month moving average. It had me pretty confused as well, I must admit.
