Looking good for PM bugs
I don’t like it at least for the very short term.
It feels too much like a gamble, where it could get hit. The situation is ripe for whipsawing. I’m not saying that it couldn’t go up from here and stay up. I see too much excitement, too much talk about breakouts. I don’t like breakouts (as opposed to stealth advances). Also, I see some good ones that didn’t trade so nicely today or yesterday. Perhaps word was out that financings are coming up for those stocks, but I would have preferred a stronger prevalence of advances. Also even though the quoted Au price was up nicely HGU was actually down over the day and HGD up albeit trivially, and HUI ticked down into the close. So I would not be surprised by a down. Or an up. Whipsaw for 24-48 hr would seem particularly likely no matter what the news is.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part. I am still hoping to put a tiny bit more cash into some while they are relatively cheap.
