A Closer Look At The Revised Golden Bowl

   I like your approach to charting, Northstar.

   If the gold market is rigged, then the riggers would likely be following some sort of mathematical constructs.

   Is that bowl trace a true parabola, or is it an elliptical curve or some sort?
   The reason I ask is that it does not appear to be symmetrical or it may be tilted slightly toward one side.

     It’s a perfect arc Homer, with the centre point of the arc below the middle of the horizontal line. If it’s slightly tilted, it’s just a slight error on my part.

       This bowl trace has variable curvature.

       Notice that the radius of curvature is smaller (tightest) at the bottom of the bowl.

       Structurally, it appears to be elliptical, rather than parabolic.

         It’s constructed using the ‘arc’ tool on Goldcharts and Trading view. The apex of the curve is always fixed at the midpoint, but you can drag it towards or away from the horizontal to create a shallower or deeper ‘bowl’. Effectively allowing you to contain a perfectly symmetrical chart formation with varying degrees of slope (i.e. rapid or slower basing patterns – but always symmetrical).
