     I am not competent at analyzing drill results or much else in this bizz. There are so very many things between limited drill results and a mine. There needs to be lots and lots of drilling. Size, homogeneity of deposit and other analysis, very much including metallurgy and planning of kind of mining need to be known. Road, permits, financing, cost of equipment, all sorts of things. Lots of things that can be done to fool someone like me even after there are lots more drill results with better details about the geometry of the drill and the high grade stuff, and I am nearly clueless about things like balance sheets. Nevertheless I can say I loaded up on BBB in 2016 before I saw it recommended somewhere and have not minded holding it in the slightest during the price decline and if I had had excess cash would have been buying more of it since 2016. It is one of the few speculative Ag stocks I don’t worry too much about being putrid, though I can easily be fooled. It could happen to have significant Au potential though not on all its properties, but again I can be readily fooled. I would have thought it at least as interesting for other properties, but I am so typically out to lunch that I might have expected a news release from one of these other properties. Perhaps this news release will be an excuse for a horrific dilutive financing that will allow the company to do not so badly in the distant future. Am I not good at “talking my book”?

     I have continued today with my ongoing project of slowly taking the garbage out of my portfolio and putting cash in stuff with I think good fundamentals and charts. Today and Friday I put some of the $ I got from the trashman into more shares of a non-putrid silver developer/near-miner I’ve held forever. I hope I didn’t crash the silver market.

       As you know, Ag prices can go up or down rapidly, by as much as 1 USD or more in just a week or so.

       Schism recently posted about flash-crashes in Au/Ag prices, though, simple-mindedly, I tend to look more at the Ag/USD ratio. In any case, I personally suspect that Ag may have more of a chance of going up a lot now than of abruptly going down, and have started to focus a bit more on Ag stocks. Therefore the astute reader will short Ag right away before it plummets.

     With good assay report stock responds is a great sign of coming bull market in ROCKS. I have seen that in past.

       You have a point. The nice movement in Ag and perhaps speculation in small PM explorecos may well contribute to the share price movement.

       However the press release would likely have caused a huge price jump in a down Ag market. It spoke of being “delighted” not the usual “pleased” to present the results with apparent reason, and perhaps “delighted” was even downplaying things. Usually when the news releases describe high grade they describe it over a few meters. This one described high grade (most notably of Ag to my casual eye) over long segments (in other words w/o the dreaded “grade smearing), I mean at least one *really* one long segment as I recall. There was also geology enough described to allow for hint of a plentitude of extra goodies way down below.

       On the other hand, they could have been extremely lucky. They could have just happened to have drilled exactly along a narrow but extremely high grade vein, the only one around. Worse, they might have had reason (maybe from historical drill results from long ago) to suspect that there was a nice narrow super high grade veinlet right there and they tried to aim their drill to go right through it and lucked out so as to get the best looking numbers in order to make the stock price jump. It’s a standard trick. If so they did a superlative job. I have not looked at their site to see whether there has been historical drilling and whether there’s lots of geophysical stuff etc etc to have also helped guide them. Readers can look, but people should beware of great drill results unless readers are highly sophisticated. However these weren’t just garden variety wonderful drill results to my naive pair of eyes, whether spurious or not. They were unusual.

       I like to go to https://angrygeologist.blogspot.com/ to see how much I don’t know about things like drill results and analyzing mining plans and mine data. I often understand only 20% of the discussion or less. I find it enlightening to realize how little I know. I recommend the experience. I hope A.G. does BBB sometime.

     1) Where do you go to find short interest in these things? How did you infer naked short interest?

     2) Off on a tangent–apologies that not directly related to your interesting comment–when I look at the charts of these tiny explorecos, I try to pretend that I had the ability and desire to short these tiny things. “Would I want to short this one? Would it be safe to short it?” I also try simultaneously to think about the dictum (Livermore?) about not shorting a quiet market (esp if the Bollinger bands are tight), volume is lowish but the stock isn’t dead in that the property or properties is/are ok and there’s cash in the treasury. Useful for me. Maybe not for everyone. Other people do this?

   I use Yahoo Finance BBBXF you’ll see the Float v Outstanding shares under Statistics…while not definitive it is an indication of naked shorting…
