     In this case I can not see if e is higher than c???

       I agree … especially his interactions on Twitter. He supposedly blocks anyone that disagrees with his viewpoint. That IMO is not someone I could trust. Too many variables in the world not to be open to different investment methodologies.

         I don’t “trust” anyone when it comes to how I trade.
         But I welcome any and all observations, regardless of their persona — online or in person. Personalities of all stripes can’t be avoided.

         The rest is up to me, and my own due diligence.

         As for Z himself, I have to admit that his charts are always CLEAR AND READABLE, unlike the work I see from a certain other team whose views used to be posted here for a time (Fully, you know who I mean). Some folks depend on verbiage to make their point; others let their charts do the talking, and I prefer that. THIS IS NOT DIRECTED to anyone who frequents this board with their personal views. Its strictly a preference I have for his presentation style (and the time it takes me to grasp it). Z is succinct. As for the triangle and the e wave overthrow, I know that’s allowed in a rising ED. But you may be correct …. I’ll update with Sam’s views if there’s anything notable on that front.

         More broadly, the tempo is picking up on the risks of a deflationary impulse … well beyond EW land. And intuitively, I view central bank activism as ultimately deflationary in the longer run because of its artificiality. Real sustainable growth requires legitimate market signals, most notably in the bond markets.

           Some of us don’t have time to trade every little wiggle in markets because we have full time jobs, so some of us do have to put our trust into others methodologies and approaches. The fact this guy blocks people on Twitter because he disagrees with their viewpoints is very telling. Iron sharpens iron, he should be open to criticism and to explaining some of his ideas, especially if he is going to post.

           Nevertheless, I think the inflation/deflation debate has not been settled, however, the U.S. government will not allow for a massive deflationary event because the debt and the interest on the debt becomes ever more difficult to pay down. Well, it’s never going to be paid off, we all know that, right, but maybe the empire can be sustained longer in its ever fragile form.

   In reviewing my weekly GDX chart this evening, a marker appeared that I was not expecting.
   Its a monthly topping advisory based on a collection of indicators.
   What’s ‘interesting’ to me is that for GDX, this marker last made its appearance in the summer of 2016, and before that in midyear 2014.
   Both marked major highs, lasting 18 mos or longer.
   The marker does not rule out further near term upside.
