   Have you ever researched the history of the W DM, DM, ECU, and now the EUR (USD Index) exchange with respect to the $US Dating back prior to 1970?

   The “Louvre Accord” and the “Plaza Accord” and the G5, 7, 8, 20 etc. etc. Gives a whole different perspective of the $USD.

   Interesting read. Thanks Red. Certainly when it comes to analysing price behaviour on the currency charts, and especially the economic cycles, the mid 1970’s is as far back as I tend to go. That’s where our modern (doomed to fail) monetary system began.

   One of the most interesting things IMO is cause/affect from the 70’s US inflation with respect to Gold $USD and the response from the G5 G6 with the Louvre & Plaza Accords. IMO the $USD Index graph is distorted 1980 – 1987 among other distortions as in 1999-2002 with the Euro. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall of the last G20 meeting.
