I’m not sure if any of you use Sentient Trader, but they did an interesting analysis on gold here: https://youtu.be/qwN7XHgTI9Q

The composite model combines all the cycles and you can have it look at only the peaks or only the troughs, or both. The entire 18 minute video (linked above) is interesting to see in my opinion, on one possibility where gold may go.
Interesting. Do you use the sentient trader software, and if so, do you find it relatively accurate and/or profitable? I know Terry Laundry was a big fan of Hurst cycles, and this is the first time I’ve come across another financial site using Hurst techniques. Thanks Banimal.

Any track record of using these cycles? I remember other members posting Hurst cycles in 2017 on this site that were rather bullish for gold and we know what happened afterwards.
I used to have the software licensed from them, but I found that I didn’t have the time to trade working full time, nor the time to learn how to interpret if the cycle analysis was correct, once the software did it. They have since refined the software and from what I understand, it does a better optimization of the cycles now. It does give you valuable insights as to which way the cycles will project, but cycles still have to be verified that their turns are occuring as predicted via other means. They use crossings of moving averages moved forward half a cycle length to confirm this. It is very powerful software. I may be getting my license renewed after reviewing the software. I can’t give an accurate track record of the use of the cycles since I was so focused on gold stocks, and we all know what happened to them since 2011. LOL.
